SCAMP Theatre Company brought Tiddler, their marvellous compilation of (marvellous!) Julia Donaldson tales to The Hawth yesterday and invited me along to see them in action.
And it was utterly terrific - the multi-talented cast were all great and had the littlies in the audience absolutely riveted....although there was an anguished cry of "make the shark go 'way mummy" during a particularly effective underwater shadow puppet scene. Always nice to send one or two members of the audience home with a shiver down their spines.
Now I've seen just how clever and creative they are I can't wait to see what they do with Pirate Gran.....not least because we have been promised explosions me hearties.....
Am I excited shipmates? Just a bit!
